Due to staff shortages, the VOLCANO Transfer Station will close at 8:00 a.m. today (THURSDAY, 12/5/2019) and will reopen as regularly scheduled on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2019, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Until 6:00 p.m. this afternoon the public can take their rubbish to the KEA'AU Transfer Station which is open seven days a week, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or the HILO Transfer Station, which is open seven days a week, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
