The County of Hawai’i Department of Environmental Management Solid Waste Division would like to notify the public that the Volcano Transfer Station will be closed beginning June 8, 2015 and will reopen on June 13, 2015. This will allow the paving work to be completed for the Planning, Redesign, and Construction of Volcano and Glenwood Transfer Station Repairs and Improvements Project. While Volcano Transfer Station is closed Glenwood Transfer Station will be open June 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th to the general public for residential rubbish disposal. The Department of Environmental Management Solid Waste Division would like to thank you for your kokua while this work is completed.
The County of Hawai‘i Department of Environmental Management Solid Waste Division would also like to announce that as of June 13, 2015 the Volcano Transfer Station will be operating at its normal hours and days. The Volcano Transfer Station days and hours of operation will be Monday, Thursday, and Saturday from 6 am till 6 pm.
