In order to better serve the Hilo community, the Hilo Transfer Station extends its hours of operation for rubbish disposal to 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily starting September 4, 2025.

Hours of operation for all other services (i.e., recycling) at the Hilo Recycling & Transfer Station shall not change.  For more information please call the Solid Waste Division Office at 808-961-8270.
