Due to equipment issues, the Kealakehe Transfer Station's Greenwaste Collection Service closed at 11:00 a.m. today, DECEMBER 16, 2019 and is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, DECEMBER 17, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Until 4:15 p.m. today, the public can take their greenwaste to the West Hawaiʻi Organics Facility (a.k.a. Pu’uanahulu landfill), which is open six days a week (closed on Sundays), from 7:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Mulch is available on a first-come-first-served, while supplies last basis. Loading fees may apply.
