The Kealakehe (Kailua-Kona) Transfer Station Greenwaste Site is closed as of 8:00 a.m. today (FRIDAY, 11/29/2019), and will reopen as regularly scheduled on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Until 4:15 p.m. this afternoon, the public can take their greeenwaste to the West Hawai‘i Organics Facility (a.k.a. at the Pu‘uanahulu landfill), which is open six days a week (closed on Sundays), from 7:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
