Honoka‘a Recycling and Transfer Station is temporarily closing to the public on Monday, June 19, and is expected to reopen on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Repair work to the trash chute requires the full closure of the facility.

Residents are encouraged instead to use the nearest available transfer station. The Paʻauilo Transfer Station, located at 43-1615 Hauola Road, is temporarily expanding its operating schedule to be open daily from Monday, June 19, through Saturday, June 24, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. However, recycling services will not be available during this time.
