The Glenwood Recycling & Transfer Station Construction and Improvement Project will continue through December 2015. Construction will take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. through 3:30 p.m.

During this construction period please note that rubbish disposal has been moved closer to the entry of the Transfer Station and roll off bins are provided. Because of limited space during construction, we are unable to provide recycling bins at this site until construction is complete. We would like to encourage the public to take recyclables to an alternate recycling facility; such as the Volcano, Kea‘au or Hilo Recycling & Transfer Stations. This temporary situation may cause a slight inconvenience to the users and the Solid Waste Division appreciates the public's patience during these improvements.

We would like to remind the public that the Glenwood Transfer Station hours of operation continue to be Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and that access to the Glenwood Transfer Station will be strictly prohibited to the public on days that the Transfer Station is closed. Please do not illegally dump trash at the Transfer Station gate.
