UPDATE: West Hawai‘i Sanitary Landfill & West Hawai‘i Organics Facility (WHOF) reopened as of 12:15 p.m. today.

The West Hawai‘i Sanitary Landfill, also known as the Pu‘uanahulu Landfill, off Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway in Waikoloa, is temporarily closed until further notice due to adverse weather conditions. This closure also affects the West Hawai‘i Organics Facility (WHOF) located at the same complex.

The public will be notified as soon as it reopens.
