The Volcano Recycling & Transfer Station and all its services closed at 11:30 a.m. today (Monday, March 9, 2020) and will reopen as regularly scheduled on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Until 6:00 p.m. this afternoon the public can take their rubbish to the Kea‘au Transfer Station which is open seven days a week, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or the Hilo Transfer Station which is open seven days a week, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
