Pāhoa Scrap Metal and White Goods. The Pāhoa Transfer Station’s Scrap Metal and White Goods services are closed today, as they have reached the maximum storage capacity allowed by the State Department of Health. Services are scheduled to reopen once permit compliance has been met.
Residents are asked to hold on to their material until our sites start accepting these commodities. The County will continue its ongoing efforts to mitigate the materials on hand to allow for future acceptance.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding. Please visit our www.hawaiizerowaste.org website for future closure information and locations, or call our Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division Office, at 961-8270.
