Please note that the Administrative Offices of the Department of Environmental Management, including the Solid Waste Division Recycling Offices in East and West Hawai‘i, will be closed on the 1^st (first) Friday of every month from July 2011 to June 2013 as we comply with the "Furlough Friday" Directive.

The Furlough Fridays will not be implemented for the Solid Waste Operations (Landfills & Transfer Stations), as they will have an alternative plan to minimize service interruptions.
