The East Hawaii Regional Sort Station in Hilo WILL BE CLOSED today until 3:00 p.m.

The Hilo Scalehouse and Greenwaste Recycling at the East Hawai‘i Organics Facility are unaffected and will be open today.

Facilities and Services will reopen as soon as possible.

All Transfer Stations regularly scheduled to be open today will remain open to residents for household generated waste disposal.

Commercial and Business haulers who regularly utilize the Sort Station/Reload Facility in Hilo should make alternate arrangements for waste disposal for Friday, March 11, 2022.

The West Hawai‘i Sanitary Landfill will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. (closed daily 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.) and operate from Monday to Saturday weekly and is closed on Sundays.
