Global Work Party
Event Date:
October 10, 2010 (All day)
Global Work Party: All over the world, thousands of communities will be participating in projects to combat global warming by putting up solar panels, insulating homes, organizing bicycle parades and getting to work on the many solutions to the climate crisis.
Here in Hawai‘i we can reduce our carbon use by recycling, eating locally, carpooling or biking more often, reducing electricity use. Even little actions make a big difference when it comes to saving electricity- use a power strip to eliminate your computer, cell phone charger, stereo, and tv from drawing power (even when turned off).
10/10/10 promises to be the biggest day of practical action to cut carbon that the world has ever seen. You can sign up for local projects and get more information by visiting www.350.org.
