Recycle Glass Week
Event Date:
September 12, 2010 - 8:00am - September 18, 2010 - 4:00pm
Recycle those glass containers! The Glass Packaging Institute’s (GPI) second annual Recycle Glass Week is September 12-18, 2010.
Glass can be recycled endlessly with no loss in quality or purity.
An estimated 80% of recovered glass containers are made into new glass bottles.
In 2008, 35.6% of glass beer and soft drink bottles were recycled, and 28% of all glass containers nationwide.
